Two
Crafts
While clever King Claudius,
a man
to be reckoned with,
a man
to double business bound,
stalked
up and down
the
rocky Danish coast
like
a nervous Macbeth
and
made his plans
to
do, and do, and do,
Gentle Hamlet
who
would not act without proof
because
every act is a tampering
with
what otherwise might be,
and
all might yet be well,
went
AWOL on a son's and soldier's duty
and
sailed in a death ship
meekly
over the hill
where
beyond
the horizon
fate
like
a pirate
came
on a sunlit sea
and
stole the gentle prince that was
to
be.
